Across a woman’s life there are powerful developmental transitions that reshape identity, relationships, and direction.
Partnership
Preconception
Pregnancy
Birth
Postpartum
Identity reconstruction
These stages influence not only women, but families, communities, and the next generation. Yet modern culture offers very little structured support for understanding and integrating these transitions.
Reclaiming the Role of Mothers is a 7-week educational workshop series designed to explore the developmental journey from womanhood into motherhood in a grounded, reflective, and supportive way.
This series recognises that motherhood is not only a personal experience, but a community experience. When mothers are supported, understood, and valued, the benefits ripple outward into families, relationships, and the wider community.
We believe that building mother-centred communities creates stronger foundations for future generations. Supporting mothers in navigating these transitions has both immediate and long-term impact, strengthening the wellbeing of families and the communities around them.
Throughout the series we will explore the psychological, relational, and social shifts that occur along this path. Participants will also be introduced to practical techniques, supportive modalities, and strategies that can help women and families navigate each phase with greater awareness, resilience, and support.
